While the memories from the longest playtest in the history of Steel Hunters are still fresh and we are still going through the copious amounts of feedback left by you, the new version is already waiting to be tested. Smaller in size, it nonetheless has valuable pieces of content that we are sure you will enjoy! So, without further ado, let's look at what this version has in store for us.
Welcome to our retrospective for Steel Hunters v0.33! For those of you new to our community, this is a recurring format where we revisit the last playtest, look at what went well, what needs improvement, and discuss some of your most important feedback. Please note that this is not all-encompassing; due to the huge volume of feedback, I can only pick some things to discuss here.
At every stage of map creation, our team's main focus is Steel Hunters' signature core gameplay. Leaning on it, our designers strive to create the most unique and visually appealing locations for you to play in. While conceptualizing our second map, Crimson Ridge, they set their gaze on the United States for inspiration again, following the well-trodden path taken with the Maryland Heights setting.
