2040–2058 hope for B.E.S.T., the Dauntless Generation, and Starfall is discovered
Following the discovery of the Mayday Omega meteorite cloud, the Board of Earth-Space Transition (B.E.S.T.) is formed to take humanity into space.
Faced with extinction, the "Dauntless Generation" rises in cooperation, building the necessary infrastructure in space.
In 2045, the first wave of meteorites impacts Earth, killing millions. A strange material named Starfall is discovered, as well as its lethal aging effects for humans; however, its unrivaled power and potential herald a technological revolution.
2058–2067 humanity relocates and the big one hits
In 2058, the first shuttles launch from B.E.S.T. locations, sending civilians to new homes aboard space stations.
The flourishing workforce empowers corporations to dominate the new frontier.
May 1, 2067, the last shuttles leave Earth, bringing the total survivors to 1.5 billion. The remainder are left behind, and the fateful day is commemorated as Day One.
Mayday Omega envelops Earth on May 3, 2067, annihilating billions.
2078–2090 the First Hunter and the search for promises
Factions battle over Starfall, and space-based Coldfire PMC declares war on Earth's Scrappers, survivors living in underground bases.
A heroic Scrapper miner leads a rebellion against corporations and discovers her rare immunity against Starfall. She's labeled a Promise: a candidate to be transformed into a giant machine—the First Hunter.
News leaks, triggering a race to find Promises and build Hunters, and by 2083, five Hunters have been born.
2090–2099 the age of Hunters
Hunters fight on the surface of a ruined Earth in the Survivors War, a battle for the most valuable resource known to man: Starfall.
A special radar alerts each faction to Starfall sites ready for collection. Hunters race to control these sites and obtain Starfall for themselves and their people.
The video of a hunt is released, causing millions of people to become obsessed with the spectacle of the colossal, fighting Hunters.
