Weaver
Remy Moore's parents worked hard to save as many people as they could when Earth was facing the Mayday Omega crisis. They were wonderful people, but this crusade left them little time for Remy, who was a very bright boy with little interest in or understanding of socializing and people. He spent plenty of time on his own and discovered that he loved mystery novels and math. Remy found the patterns in mystery stories appealing and could nearly always solve them. For him, math was similarly predictable and therefore comfortable.
These talents caught the attention of a man named Zayne, who was helping Remy's parents. In Remy, Zayne found a boy full of diligence and determination. Remy took on any assigned task without asking too many questions. The only thing that drove Remy was his desire to solve puzzles. Zayne introduced Remy to new puzzles: code-breaking and pattern-prediction. Remy saw deep patterns in data that no one else could see. Zayne saw incredible possibilities in the boy, especially for those he worked for who were forming a new regime in the government. He presented Remy with pattern problems—everything from troop movement efficiency to likely strategies, under the guise of it being a game. Remy referred to any conundrum to be solved as "the game board" and prided himself on always beating the game. Remy did not know that Zayne was feeding him real, live data on the movements of groups the new government considered enemies. Remy was helping to quash so-called rebels without even knowing it.
When it came time to leave Earth, Remy left with Zayne. However, their transport ship was sabotaged and crashed. Remy awoke as a prisoner of the Scrappers. They told him the truth: that he had been responsible for killing many Scrappers and foiling the plans they had laid for their own freedom. Remy was shocked. For the first time, he was able to see his life from their perspective, and it shattered his world view. With the help of a Scrapper named Elodie, Remy realized that he had been manipulated all his life. This created in him a desire to atone for his sins. He eventually earned a small amount of trust from the Scrappers and employed his skills to help them fight back against the government group he once helped to thwart them. While analyzing data they had intercepted, he discovered the government's plan for a huge attack against the Scrappers. Seeing no other way to stop the attack, he sought to evolve into the spider-like Hunter that would come to be named Weaver, a name chosen by the Scrappers for his ability to piece together esoteric data into plans.
