Fletcher
Gideon Jang was born with a destiny chosen by his parents. Raised by his Warden mother and Guard father on the largest penal colony station orbiting Earth, Gideon knew only training and learning his entire youth. Coaches and teachers were his life from as soon as he could walk and talk—he lived a regimented lifestyle too exhausting for most to even think about. A specially formulated breakfast, few hours in the gym, protein-rich lunch, few hours in the classroom learning battle tactics, history and leadership skills, sensible dinner and then an evening of studying previous Hunter battles as gameplay footage. All to ensure the legacy his parents were building for him to inherit. Power must be taken, and that required sacrifices. They had made them for him, and the time came for him to make his own.
At the age of 10, Gideon's parents revealed the truth to him: that in 10 more years, he would become the greatest Hunter ever to live. Excited, the boy plunged even deeper into his training and, to honor his mother's passion as a young woman, he chose the bow and arrow as his specialty weapon.
At 16, a mere four years away from becoming a Hunter, one of Gideon's tutors told him the truth: to become a Hunter was to sacrifice his physical body... To die. Gideon did not flinch. To become a Hunter was his greatest dream—how could it be anything else after so long and so much focus and training?
On his 20th birthday, Gideon willingly submitted to the transformation procedure and began his new life as Fletcher, the youngest Hunter yet. Gideon was ready to take his place as his parents' representative in the League of Steel. They bade him lead their other Hunters—Heartbreaker and Taurus—on to victory.
